☆ My first knitted necklace was discovered by accident in machine knitting class at the Rhode Island School of Design. I was presenting a sample swatch I made as an experiment to my class—a little scrap of knit fabric with some beads dangling from it—when a classmate suggested I turn it upside down. Turned over, it was obvious that this was not a just a fabric scrap, it was a necklace. I fell in love with it.
Each one-of-a-kind piece for sale on this site was crafted by my hands, using vintage, found, or upcycled materials. These pieces are made primarily from the end of my vintage bead stock, so many of them will be the last of their kind.
I am also excited to introduce a new line of knitted tube necklaces made with upcycled Mardi Gras beads collected during my time living in New Orleans. Each one of these necklaces carries all of the magic of Mardi Gras wherever it goes.
